Awami Baithak for Community Cohesiveness

YCHR established six Awami Baithaks (community centres) equipped with computer, daily newspapers and informative materials on human rights, women’s rights, child rights, labour rights, interfaith harmony and peace. Project staff (six male and six female) were trained on social mobilization, community organization, behaviour change communication, advocacy, and computer literacy.

Project coordinators were responsible for the conduct of activities to counter violence and extremism throuh weekly debates, monthly forums, monthly movies nights, monthly cultural events and monthly street theatres. Besides, the training of computers for youth continued throughout the project period. These set of activities were conducted at each location.
